The definition of a complete renovation, the English Home project at the Athens River West Mall required the store interior to be entirely demolished and built afresh. Everything from the floor up to the ceiling was new: the tiles on the floor, the furniture, the ceiling, and the lighting were all newly installed.
Simple yet functional, the chosen style featured mainly creamy white, beige, and light wood tones. In combination with the carefully placed ambient and accent lighting, the color pallet and materials used created an unpronounced style aimed at directing the customers’ attention to the products themselves. The only exceptions were two black panels that contrasted this feeling of simplicity: one placed near the window, accenting a particular home design, and another placed behind the tills — both of which were aptly installed in service of the store’s commercial purposes. Contrast with the modern style created in the Alchemia Studio renovation.
