Renovation

Athens, Chalandri

The Madame Coco store in Chalandri was the first of a three-part renovation project. The established homeware chain store needed indoor and exterior general renovations in three distinct locations. Although each location required a different approach, the brand aesthetic was to be kept uniform. The Chalandri store needed the exterior to be built completely anew (the façade was transformed with the upgraded brand name and a newly installed stone coating), and a general indoor demolition on the entire ground and first floor. Everything from the floor to the ceiling was torn apart and reconstructed in service of store needs and overall aesthetic.
The chess floor with black and white tiles was paired with black and silver aluminum details and a black marble staircase coating to create an elegant, homey feel. A combination of ambient and accent lighting was used to subtly direct the customer’s attention to particular sections, while shedding warm light on the entire store interior. See how a similar atmosphere was created in the larger Madame Coco store in Elliniko.
