Renovation
Athens, Elliniko
The second of this three-part renovation project, the Madame Coco store in Elliniko required the same brand aesthetic as the Chalandri store, but over a much larger space. Every detail was to be scaled, without having an overwhelming effect. The project featured an indoor and exterior general renovation of the established homeware chain store, resulting in a complete transformation. The façade was built completely anew, as the store was previously part of a different chain.
An indoor demolition was necessary for constructing a new ceiling and installing a new floor. The mezzanine lent itself to creating a more spacious feel, which was heightened using a four-chandelier lighting installation and more ambient light spread over the two levels. The chess floor with black and white tiles — a brand hallmark — on each level (basement included) provide a sense of stylish warmth, as does the black marble staircase coating.
